Environmental Analysis and Planning
This course studies the methods and attitudes of environmental research and analysis utilized by landscape architects. Students investigate the natural, historical, and cultural factors that impact land-use suitability, design programming, and design development. Instruction emphasizes the application of these methods to both the natural and built environments.

Transforming Burbank’s LA River Front

Envisioning a future where the 134 freeway is abandoned, our project draws inspiration from the 2016 renovation of Little Tujunga Wash to revitalize Johnny Carson Park. Repurposing the former freeway, we establish an eco-corridor and restore a section of the LA River. Our proposal aims to harmonize human activities with wildlife habitats, utilizing natural bio-filtration systems for stormwater management and creating a communal oasis.
