Meet Your 2024 Board

The ASLA Student Chapter at UCLAx coordinates professional development, skill-building opportunities, and networking opportunites, organizes activities, and represents the student’s voice at faculty and curriculum committee meetings. Meet this year’s team!

Jen Moody – President

Jen is a 3rd year in the program, based in Long Beach, CA. Her favorite class so far has been LD6, and her favorite CA native plant is Abutilon palmeri (Palmers Indian Mallow). Jen also loves all sages, especially clevlanii. And matillijas! And fuschias!

Zoë Marans – Vice President

Zoë is a 1st year in the program, based in Culver City. Her favorite class so far has been Tree ID with Lisa Smith! If she had to pick one CA native plant, it would be the iconic Western Sycamore (Platanus racemosa)

Chris Ritter – Treasurer

Chris is in their 2nd year in the program, based in Los Angeles, CA in Echo Park. Their favorite class so far has been Tree ID, and her favorite CA native plant is Sequoia sempervirens / Coast Redwood.

Mia Skolnik – Secretary

Mia is a 1st year in the program, based in Santa Monica but soon to be Boston. Her favorite class so far has been DG2 with Rebecca Schwaner. As for her favorite native plant: Sierra juniper
